In a Politico article, Huntsman spokesman Tim Miller says -
“It is offensive that Ron Paul’s allies would claim that
Gov. Huntsman’s own family would create such a video that distracts from
the important issues that this country faces,” said Miller, who
explained the campaign became aware of the video “when a reporter
emailed me about it.”
However, no one ever raised questions if a family member had made it. The CanDo.com investigation only suggested it may be likely that someone close to the campaign could likely be to blame.
Why did Huntsman's Spokesperson specifically mention the family?
A quote from another article on psychology -
"While most people can usually avoid telling painful truths by
inhibiting themselves, the results of experiments conducted by
University of New South Wales psychological researcher Bill von Hippel
suggest that we should be extra wary of making social blunders when we
are under strain or fatigued."
