Hello Veterans for Ron Paul and Adam Kokesh:
As you are aware, we are in the final days leading up to the Republican National Convention. Although, the likelihood of a Ron Paul victory is remote in Tampa, the RNC will provide the Liberty Movement with an opportunity to show the world Our unity. As a movement that has individualism at its foundation, many of us often disagree. However, these disagreements are in methodology only. We all seek freedom as Our ultimate goal.
I agree with the sentiment that the Campaign has blundered with respect to strategy. Whether this blunder was caused by mal-intent on the part of Benton and other Campaign staffers, I cannot state a concrete opinion because my doubts are founded in my own speculation. Nonetheless, decisions such as giving Romney a free ride without criticism during important times of the election cycle – among other actions or inactions – have lead me to be critical of the people atop the staff.
Speaking hypothetically, if Benton is a mole, what do you think his position would be on the issue of the Veterans for Ron Paul march happening or not? In that scenario, I think Benton would be gleeful if the Veterans decided not to march. On the other hand, Benton and other potential hacks would lose, if the Veterans were to proceed with the march. You can make up your own mind about that.
In any case, this Movement is not about Ron Paul. Ron Paul is participant and a voice for the Movement. The ball is rolling. It will continue to roll for years to come. That said, Dr. Paul has certainly played a very important role in increasing its momentum. However, with or without Ron Paul – we must fight on.
This movement – the Liberty Movement – is about me. It’s about you. It’s about all of Us. It’s about doing anything we can to wake people up to the message of individual liberty. The Veterans for Ron Paul March on the RNC serves that purpose. I strongly urge you to reconsider feelings you have towards not marching. I ask you, please set your emotions aside and march for Our liberty – because Our liberty is more important than any one man – including you, me, or anyone else.
Please go ahead with your original plans to march on the Republican National Convention.
Sincerely,
Derrel Walters
